Dear Fellow Keepers

Dear Fellow Keepers,

In anticipation of Keeper Summer, I am writing about my true, unfiltered opinions about Keeper of the Lost Cities.

Now before you tug an eyelash, remember that there is no reason to worry. I am a mega fan of this book. You won’t hear many criticisms from me. I have been a Keeper since 2018 (fifth grade), which was around the time Flashback was released. I had a whiteboard countdown for the release date of an upcoming date, and I compiled KoTLC memes that I thought (and still think) are pretty funny. I even have a whole entire annotated journal of the entire series, including my own theories and strange observations that I think warrant more thoughts (I can share more in another blog!!) Fast forward, 8 years later, I have reread the series a gazillion times, and recently, I have been doing rereads every summer. 

Each time I pick up the book, I forget about how captivating the series is for me. Every single memorized scene and line is so mesmerizing to me, and I devour each and every one of them, even though I have seen them so many times. 

What is even unbelievable to me is the strong prevalence of you all, the KoTLC community, patientally waiting for the next book and putting out more content to make the wait more bearable. We need to take care of the author, a mother who has also created the world that we feel so connected to. We have to keep the community going strong, supporting Shannon Messenger in her timeline.
