We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry
This book. A smoothie bowl. Hawaiian sunset. Need I say more? People We Meet on Vacation will pair flawlessly with any tropical trip you have in mind. This opposites-attract romance is just as immersive as taking a vacation, which makes it especially perfect to read if you are stuck at home this winter break.

The Love & collection by Jenna Evans Welch
If you’re craving that trip to Europe that you’ve been saving up for all year take a look at these three beautiful romances in Italy, Ireland, and Greece. Each one is equally charming and witty, and it will be the best way to entertain yourself through a long flight to get to your dream vacation.

Into the Wild by John Krakauer
Taking a different approach, Into the Wild is a nonfiction essay on the subject of one Chris McCandless. Full disclosure: this story is a bit more mature and less lighthearted than the other travel reads mentioned above. BUT this book will fulfill any feeling of wanderlust in its thoughtful exploration of what draws people into the wilderness and what it takes for someone to rely on their emotions to live freely in the world.

The Alchemist by Paula Coelho
While this book isn’t so much about realistic vacations and travel, it does feature a character going on a journey, and it would be horrible to exclude the book from this list. The Alchemist cannot be praised enough, from its elegant simplicity to its gorgeous messages. If you’re looking for that spark that life’s been missing on your travels, I greatly implore you to give this a try.
